Pakistani Kofta Recipe – Recipe of Badami Kofta Gravy

Ingredients for gravy

  • Union Chopped  150 gram
  • Tomatoes 100 gram
  • Ginger garlic paste 1tbsp
  • Green chili 2 pieces 
  • Cooking oil 1½ Cup
  • Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
  • Red chili Powder 1½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Black Pepper Crushed 1 tbsp
  • Red Chili Flakes 1 tbsp
  • Cinnamon Powder 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder 1 tbsp
  • Desiccated Coconut & Almond Paste 1 tbsp
  • Saffron (Kesar) optional 1 tbsp
  • Yogurt 1 Cup
  • Fresh Cream 1 tbsp
  • Coriander Leaves ¼ bunches

Method of Badami Kofta Gravy

Heat Bhai in a pan or wok. Fry chopped onions in oil for 3-4 minutes, then add ginger garlic paste and cook for another 2 minutes. Add all spices, turmeric powder, cumin, red chili, and salt. Also, add ½ cup water, cover the pan with the lid and cook on low flames for 5 minutes. Put tomatoes, yogurt, desiccated coconut, and almond in a blender, blend and make a smooth paste, add this past in the gravy, also add ½ cup of water. Bring to boil and carefully place simply Kofta in it. Again cover and cook for 15-20 minutes or until meat is cooked.

Uncover and stir well, add fresh cream, garnish with coriander leaves. Delicious Badami Kofta is ready to serve.
